How You Can Help With the Glencoe Auction

Buy Tickets!

Tickets for the auction will be available at Glencoe Elementary on February 10, 2012, before and after school. The cost is $45 per ticket, $50 after February 24. You can also support the Foundation while having a great time by attending any number of buy-in events such as ice cream bike rides, poker parties and family camp outs. Look for buy-in event information and tickets at the auction.

Volunteer!

Whatever your interests, talents and availability, we’re sure to have a job that’s just right for you, including working during auction night. Auction night volunteers work in shifts, so you can still enjoy dinner, bidding and mingling. Any assistance you can offer is most appreciated. Donate!

If you’d like to donate an item, service or gift certificate, contact Christina Bederka or Rashell Martin. In previous years, people have donated excellent items including:

  • Master gardener consultation
  • Three hours of weeding
  • Use of beach house for a week
  • Home-baked desserts every month for a year
  • Items from the donor’s etsy store

Ask your favorite artist or business establishment for support

Items, services and gift certificates are all popular items. Here’s where you can find a donor form to download and submit with each donation.

Sponsor a getaway package

We’re looking for families to help us by co-sponsoring getaway packages. A donation of any amount will help complete getaway packages at places such as Ashland (for the Shakespeare Festival), a Columbia Gorge resort or an area hotel. We will be pleased to recognize  your generosity in our catalog and on auction night. Contact Julia Sherman if you have questions or would like to donate.

Contribute to the World of Wine

Last year, the World of Wine” sold out in 20 minutes! This year, we’re hoping to auction off at least 150 bottles of wine at this very popular event. We would love to have your help in any of the following ways:

  • Contribute any amount of money to help the Foundation purchase high end wines
  • Donate one or more bottles of wine for the auction
  • If you know someone with a well-stocked wine collection, ask them to donate one or more bottles
  • Help us bag the bottles and set up the display

We’re asking that the minimum retail value of each bottle of wine be $10, and look forward to having a good number of bottles valued at $50 or more to make this event very special.

And by the way, do you have a high-volume wine rack we can borrow for the event?
