About Us
The Glencoe School Foundation (GSF) is run entirely by volunteers -- parents, staff, friends and neighbors who contribute their time, talents and ideas to maintain Glencoe's status as a truly exceptional school. We meet once a month to plan and coordinate fundraising efforts that enhance Glencoe's academic program and benefit all the children who attend our school, as well as their parents. This, in turn, strengthens our community. GSF is one of many individual school foundations operating under the umbrella of the Portland Schools Foundation.
Our Goal: To raise money to provide staffing needs otherwise not provided by Portland Public Schools (PPS)
Our Mission: To fund programs that benefit each and every child at Glencoe and to fund a balance of programs, from academic (Homework Club) to physical (Jump Rope Club), socially responsible (Habitat Club), and artistic (Band). We also strive to support parents in the challenges specific to raising young children. Your dollars and in-kind donations equal a vote of confidence in our community!
